EYELID SURGERY - BLEPHAROPLASTY

In our 40-ies we can start to notice fatigue on our face. If that perception persists then the reason may be sagging or swollen eyelids or fatty bags, which have suddenly appeared below the eyes.

The physiological process of aging doesn't affect everybody in the same way. Some people, due to their physical constitution, genetic base or way of life are more prone to the facial aging process. As the years go by, skin looses its elasticity and firmness, especially in the region of eyelids, as it is very thin in that area. Slowly but surely, the eyelids change. Wrinkles, furrows and fatty pads appear, making the eyes and face look old and tired.

Excess skin and fatty tissue on the eyelids can only be removed by a surgical procedure called BLEPHAROPLASTY. Cosmetic products or massages cannot help in these cases.

Blepharoplasty is considered to be a minor and very efficient operation, with little or no risk to the patient, if performed by an experienced cosmetic surgeon. Excess skin is removed with precision in accordance to a plan based on previously prepared measurements. We use radio-surgery to perform this operation because this technology makes very accurate incisions possible, without any damage to the surrounding tissue. That way we get optimal aesthetic effect and the recovery is accelerated. In order to obtain the best aesthetic effect, we use sutures that are as thin as a human hair. These are placed beneath the skin-layer and there are no visible stitches. The incision is placed within the natural creases of the skin. The final result of the operation is an obvious rejuvenation. The eyes look younger, bigger and their natural beauty becomes more prominent.

Eyelid surgery is often done in conjunction with face lifting in order to maximize the rejuvenation effect.

Eyelid surgery is done under local enhanced anesthetic (patient is in a light sleep)

USEFUL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PATIENT
